The remarkable new Compumaster® R-90 color reflection densitometer meets and exceeds the modern demands of the specialty lab. It is a computer assisted densitometer that provides simultaneous readout of all three colors and density, it is also factory-equipped with Status A filter to meet the exacting standards of all ANSI Status applications. The Compumaster® R-90 is so simple for anyone to operate because the active LCD screen actually guides you through the many features with easy to follow commands. This allows more effective usage of staff time while assuring the most efficient and high quality performance.

This unique densitometer stores the reference information for the most popular processes. When a control strip is read, the answers are automatically calculated and printed on the built-in data printer. It also records the necessary information to plot Quality Control process monitoring charts, including Action and Control data. Additionally, it calculates printer and slope correction factors for all mini-lab and pro-lab machines. This versatile and time saving densitometer also provides automatic zeroing and calibration. A universal PC-programmed RS-232 interface is provided. This permits the electronic data transfer for networking to other compatible computer systems directly or through modem.

Fast-Sampling Multi-Channel Embedded Systems Densitometer

The Compumaster® CM-500C is a compact "black box" type of densitometer intended for embedded systems and OEM applications. This highly versatile densitometer can be configured for reflection or transmission measurements in a wide variety of applications. The CM-500C can be located 6 feet (1.83 m) or more from its light source and fiber optic sensing head. Longer fiber optics can be employed to increase the distance even more. Up to four channels are available for spectral assignments.

A host computer with a serial interface is required to communicate commands to and to receive data from the CM-500C. Sample software for a PC computer is provided for initial system operation. However, the sample program can be edited and expanded by the user for specific target applications.

Optical reading range is over 6 decades of density. Densities are digitized to 1 part in 4096 which can be assigned to varying combinations of range and resolution. Various reading rates, tracking tables, and averaging schemes can be downloaded from the host computer. Density calibration for the target application is performed in the CM-500C or at the host computer.

QC-2 is an intuitive and comprehensive Windows-style software package for managing the quality control of film and paper processing in the photolab. Over 15 processes are pre-defined such as C-41, RA-4, and E-6 and other processes can be user-defined. Menu selections include diagnostics of chemistry problems, balance and control of enlargers and printers, graphical displays of processor history, 21-step DLogE plotting, and a program to guide the photo technician through internegative balancing.
QC-2 steps the operator through each quality control procedure and works with any densitometer that outputs its readings through a serial port in the Industry Standard data format. When errors or out of tolerance conditions are detected, the operator is alerted. QC-2 is the perfect companion for any densitometer.
